Born in 1986 to a civil engineer father and a mother psychologist, Andres’ interest in exploring the human soul – through artistic and technical means – found a perfect fit when introduced to the art and science of cinematography.

Not knowing that cinematography was a “thing” which one could do for a living, but with a tremendous interest in crafting great and interesting images, Orbezo majored in Graphic Design. It was during this period that he really learned about the power of composition, color, texture and lighting.

After college and a short flirting with VFX, Orbezo realized Cinematography was what he was meant to do thereafter.

It has since been over 15 years, and not a day has gone by without being grateful for being able to do what he loves for a living.

Orbezo has shot hundreds of commercials for clients such as Ford, Budweiser, Danone, P&G, to name a few. He also enjoys shooting music videos and short films.

He recently finished principal photography on his second tv show, called con esa misma mirada, which marks the return to the screens of actress and former first ladie Angelica Rivera.

Sometimes called a jack of all trades, Orbezo has shot in virtually any situation, from underwater to running shots, from mountain top to table top. You name it, he has shot it.

He is local in LA, NY, San Antonio, Austin and Mexico City, and fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
